Overview: The best point about Jim Feist's preview is that it includes quite a bit of historical information -- pointspreads and game results for the past decade. The quality of his predictions is above average: tied-for-4th out of 11 magazines over the last three years. The negatives are: per-team discussion is short, and that discussion is lightweight material.
Per-team information: Approximately 1½ pages are devoted to each covered team -- but one full page is the collection of the last ten years' worth of scores and pointspreads. The remaining ½ page is split between a discussion of prospects for the coming year and some tables (returning starters, schedule, some individual and team statistics). The discussion doesn't get into much detail, and doesn't appear to account for the results of spring football.
Per-conference information: Two full pages, with a first-team all-conference list, a predicted order of finish that includes a few sentences of commentary per team, and a color picture; also team and individual statistical leaders.
National information: A top ten list. No all-America lists or recruiting information.
Recap (previous year) information: Game results are given, with point spreads of each game. Some individual and team statistics on each team's page. Numbers are given and all conference members are ordered by six team statistical categories (e.g., rushing defense). Bowl results and final polls are also given.
Division I-AA information: None.
